Datatron Multi-Location Features

A strength the Datatron system has is its ability to manage multiple locations just as easily as it does a single one. Multi-location businesses have different requirements than those which only have one store. Datatron's programming is geared around making the running of multi-store businesses off a single system real easy to do.

Some of Datatron's multi-location features include:

  • As items are invoiced to a customer, they can be automatically transferred from other locations when finalizing the invoice, simultaneously creating all necessary paperwork for the customer and the inventory transfers at all locations involved.
  • Move directly from one location's Counter Invoicing or Picking Ticket screen directly to another's using only three keystrokes.
  • Inventories can be mirrored so that they have the same part numbers and pricing at all locations or they can be maintained separately so you can set up different pricing depending on varying market conditions.
  • Stock inquiry for all locations can be done from the counter-invoicing program.
  • Stocking lists for multiple locations are automatically compared, indicating which items are selling in one location and over-stocked in another making them available for "Stock Balancing Transfer".
  • Ability to have a part number pulled-up in Inventory Maintenance and go directly to that same part number in a branch location's Inventory Maintenance using only three keystrokes.
  • Orders can be transferred to branch stores or warehouses so that a single purchase order can be sent to a vendor.
  • Other locations can be checked for overstock and any overstock found can be automatically transferred between locations before a purchase order is created.
  • When purchasing for multiple stores through one location, transfer the lost sales for all branches into one for a better idea of items that need to be stocked.
  • Multiple Accounts Receivable can be kept on one system or the Accounts Receivable for multiple locations can be kept at a single location and be referenced by the others.
  • Multiple Accounts Payable can be kept on one system or the Accounts Payable for multiple locations can be kept at a single location and be referenced by the others.
  • Multiple checking accounts can be kept on one system or a checking account for multiple locations can be kept at a single location and be referenced by the others.
